Clemente Aguirre-Jarquin was wrongfully convicted of murder and sentenced to death in Florida in 2006. After serving 12 years on death row, he was exonerated and released. Clemente is an undocumented immigrant currently moving through immigration courts.

Gabriel Lopez joined the innocence project as a Case Analyst in May 2018. Prior to working at the innocence project, Gabriel worked as an intake paralegal at Brooklyn Legal Services in the Tenant Rights Coalition unit. He also interned with a Licensed Private Investigator in the summer of 2016, learning about investigative report writing and background due diligence. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Hunter College, part of the City University of New York. Gabriel is currently completing his Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College at the City University of New York.

Brittany joined Healing Justice after her interests in restorative justice and criminal justice reform led her to a year-long internship coordinated via her Master of Social Work program. After graduating with an MSW from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MDiv from Duke University, she officially joined the staff of Healing Justice in July 2017. As Director of Programs, Brittany oversees and implements the development and refinement of programs that promote the mission of Healing Justice in seeking to bring healing to individuals who have been harmed through wrongful convictions. Her experience in qualitative research, evaluation, and program development strengthens our existing programs and provides new opportunities to engage the communities we serve.

Greg Brown is President of the Community Restorative Justice Partnership, providing restorative practices training, consulting, program development, as well as direct services to victim/survivors of crime and those that cause harm.
